Today a client asked our POV on economic slowdown & its impact on Home Entertainment industry. As we started discussing (on our feet actually) several questions came to my mind.
- Would people cut down on their out of home entertainment expenditure & limit themselves to Home Entertainment?
- If people spend more time at home would the Home Entertainment Industry grow?
- Would tighter pockets lead to increase in Piracy of Content or need for ‘Free or Cheap Content’
- What kind of content would appeal to people? Would they depend on content to take their minds away from the economic worries?
Several questions but no real answers at this point in time but very shortly we would have a point of view ready.
